EMBARK: Connecting communities to learn, inspire and thrive together
1st Paris Peace Forum; 100 years after World War and Armistice; aimed to be the place for joint solutions in the fields of peace and security, environment, development, new technologies and inclusive economy; hosted by President Emmanuel Macron were attended by multiple heads of state such as Angela Merkel, Vladimir Putin, Justin Trudeau and the UN Secretary-General, along with many civil society, business and philanthropic leaders.
It aimed international cooperation is key to tackling global challenges and ensuring durable peace. To support collective action, it gathers all actors of global governance under one roof for three days – states, international organizations, local governments, NGOs and foundations, companies, experts, journalists, trade unions, religious groups and citizens.
Through original formats of debates and the presentation of solutions, it demonstrates there is still a momentum for multilateralism and a better organization of the planet, both among states from North and South and civil society actors.
The Paris Peace Forum focused on their 116 governance projects and initiatives from around the world, selected from 850 applications, presented in five villages: peace and security, environment, development, new technologies and inclusive economy.
Embark- Reverse Mentoring Program has selected to be showcased at the forum amongst 850 initiatives around the world under the field of inclusive economy.
Unilever Turkey represented Embark project as co-founder and the private sector partner of the project joined by Partners from Xynteo, GDN and a Syrian Young- Mentor of Harm Goossens at the Paris Peace Forum.
Embark representatives joined official opening ceremony with heads of states, UN presidents and along with many civil society, business and philanthropic leaders.
